Sky News Online editor leaves for BBC

Sky News's online editor, Jon Gripton, will take up a new role as managing editor of BBC Jersey later this year. Gripton leaves his role at Sky News in October after 10 years. He became editor of online operations there in July 2008, tasked with extending the channel's reputation for breaking news into social media. He has previously worked at the BBC as a radio presenter on BBC Wiltshire, and will be taking over duties from Denzil Dudley, who retires after more than 30 years' service at the corporation.
