Crystal Palace agree to sell Darren Ambrose to QPR for £750,000
The administrator in control of Crystal Palace has sanctioned the sale of Darren Ambrose to Queen's Park Rangers for around £750,000. Brendan Guilfoyle accepted the former Palace manager Neil Warnock's bid for last season's leading goalscorer as he seeks to finance the running of the Championship club until the CPFC (2010) consortium are in a position to complete a takeover at Selhurst Park. Ambrose is currently in talks with QPR over personal terms. The former Charlton Athletic and Newcastle United midfielder joined the Eagles on a free transfer last summer and scored 20 times for the club last season, including a crucial goal in the vital final game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
