Listen LUV, that's enough acronyms

Sir Martin Sorrell, the chief executive of WPP, now reckons the recovery will be LVV-shaped – with western Europe bumping along the bottom, but the US and emerging markets enjoying a sharp rebound. That is a variant on his earlier LUV-shaped and "bath-tub" shaped descriptions. The recession has spawned too many acronyms: my personal pet hate is PIIGS, to describe the troubled economies of Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain. It was a good gag at first, Sir Martin, but enough already.
