Endemol strikes long-term deal with Tim Hincks
Dutch Big Brother producer Endemol has struck a deal to keep Tim Hincks, chief executive of its UK business, at the company until 2014. The deal, which will extend Hincks's time with Endemol UK to almost 15 years, is likely to contain a mix of financial incentives linked to performance and a stake in the production company. Endemol is also understood to signed similar deals with other key executives including Richard Osman, the creative director of the UK business, who has responsibility for shows including Deal or No Deal and Total Wipeout. Endemol did not reveal details of the deals. Hincks joined Endemol UK in 2000 and was promoted to creative director in 2002. He became chief creative officer in 2005 and was appointed chief executive in 2008. The current deal will keep Hincks locked under contract until December 2014. In November last year Endemol acquired independent production companies Tiger Aspect, Darlow Smithson and Tigress from IMG. • To contact the MediaGuardian news desk email [email protected] or phone 020 3353 3857.
