West Ham make inquiry about Lorient striker Kevin Gameiro
Avram Grant is intent on signing a striker and right-back for West Ham United before the close of the transfer window next Tuesday and the club have made an inquiry to the French side Lorient about their forward, Kevin Gameiro. Although a formal bid for the 23-year old Frenchman is yet to be made, Grant should have some funds to buy new players after Alessandro Diamanti's move from West Ham to Brescia was completed today. The Israeli manager is also expected to try to bring players to Upton Park through loan deals. Grant considers adding a right-back to his squad as his main priority and he may attempt to sign Luke Young from Aston Villa or West Ham's former central midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker, who can also play in that position.
