Computer goes missing as Parcelforce fails to deliver
I paid Parcelforce £196 to ship my iMac from Bristol to Doha in six days, but it went missing. More than two weeks later I managed to track it down with help from the customs office at the airport. Parcelforce now says it will not consider my claim for a refund of the fee because it didn't receive this within 30 days of posting, even though it had failed to deliver the parcel. This is outrageous when more than 15 of those days were my waiting to see if my computer would turn up before knowing whether it would be an insurance claim. I believe most of the problem was because Parcelforce provided inadequate address labels – I would have expected them to be written in Arabic as well as English. LP, Dohar, Qatar Parcelforce says there are only two official languages for international deliveries – English and French and the postal staff in Dohar understand both. But it has reconsidered your claim and is sending you £100 compensation.
