Cashpoints: Isa transfer time to be speeded up after complaint
This week's top stories • The Office of Fair Trading upheld a "super-complaint" by the consumer body, Consumer Focus, that Isa holders were suffering lengthy delays when transferring to a new provider. The OFT said Isa transfers should now take no more than 15 working days – down from 23. Consumer Focus was underwhelmed: "We live the age of keyboards, not quills. Isa transfers should take days, not weeks." • Householders are to receive detailed information on their energy bills , after the intervention of energy regulator Ofgem. All will receive annual statements showing their tariff and how much energy they have used. Statements will also contain advice on how to switch supplier. • Facebook users will now be able to spend millions of pounds online. A new application will allow developers to make money out of previously free games. It is expected to take the market for game credits and gifts to £554m.
