Met Police extends payroll deal

As part of the deal, valued at £10m, the company plans to introduce electronic payslips, overtime and expenses slips across the force. It said this is part of a plan to introduce more self-service systems. Logica's partner Xafinity Paymaster will manage the pensions administration service. Norman Baldwin, Logica's UK business process outsourcing director, said: "Through the provision of a flexible platform we have been able to continue to innovate in the services that we provide to continue to reduce the cost of delivery and increase value for money and enable a more dynamic and efficient HR function to deliver greater strategic value." The original contract was signed in 2005.
