The beauty spot: mousse foundation

To be fair, everything in mousse form is lovely, but mousse foundation is especially exquisite, because, as you apply it, with fingers or (posh) a sponge, it makes you feel as though you're icing your face like a freshly baked cake. My favourite by far is by Suqqu (£60, selfridges.com ). It comes with an applicator and a little sponge – handy for making sure you use the minimum smear possible (you really only need a tiny bit, with a mousse – too much just sits there on the skin like paint) – and lasts for absolutely ages, giving a properly balanced complexion that doesn't look too "done". Love it.
