Colin Kennedy quits as FHM editor
FHM editor Colin Kennedy has left the Bauer Media men's magazine ahead of a revamp intended to reverse its flagging circulation. The publisher said Kennedy had resigned to pursue consulting opportunities. His departure comes less than two years after he joined the title from Bauer Media sister title, Empire . Bauer recently hired Grand Parade , a consultancy firm run by Ed Needham, who has edited FHM in the UK and US, to oversee a refresh of the title later this year. FHM was for a long time the No 1 title in the men's magazine market but its circulation has been in decline for some time and it was overtaken by Natmag-Rodale's fitness magazine Men's Health in 2009 . FHM's most recent circulation figure , for the first half of 2010, was down 16.7% on the previous six months and 18.1% year on year to 192,586. • To contact the MediaGuardian news desk email [email protected] or phone 020 3353 3857.
