Harlequins say Ben Jones-Bishop may play again this season
Ben Jones-Bishop, the young Harlequins full-back who suffered a depressed fracture in his skull during his team's famous win at Wigan on Friday, was released from hospital this morning. He hopes to play again this season. The 21-year-old, who is on a season's loan from Leeds, is awaiting scan results, but Quins' coach, Brian McDermott, said: "There shouldn't be anything sinister, as he is up and about. He'll probably be out for six weeks or so while the hole in his forehead heals." McDermott believes Jones-Bishop has shown enough in his three months as a first-team regular with Harlequins to alert the new England coach, Steve McNamara. "Ben's been brilliant for us this year," he said. "He saves as many tries as he creates and the tackle he made on Feka Paleaaesina before he suffered the injury at Wigan was a case in point. "If Steve McNamara needs competition for the full-back spot, Bish is creating that."
