GPS extends telecom networks framework
The Government Procurement Service has extended the Telecom Networks framework agreement, which was due to expire on 7 January 2012, for six months until 30 June. It said it has taken the step to enable customers to complete further competition procurement activity that is already under way. The telecom networks agreement will not be renewed as it is being replaced by two Public Services Network (PSN) frameworks, for connectivity services and communications equipment and services, which are due for award in March 2012. The GPS said that after 7 January customers are advised to use the Managed Telecommunications Convergence framework, the GSi Convergence Framework and the PSN frameworks when available for any requirements associated with Telecoms Networks.
