Glee shines again with 1.67m viewers
GLEE BREAKS A RECORD. HOW'S IT DOIN'? Episodes, BBC2, 10pm – The BBC2 sitcom starring Matt LeBlanc attracted 1.531 million viewers, a 7.4% share of the audience, down from 1.859 million (8.5%) for last week's opener . It drew another 41,000 viewers on the BBC HD channel. Unlike last week, when Episodes was beaten by Channel 4 drama Shameless, this time it had the better of its commercial rival, where Alan Carr: Chatty Man, averaged 1.375 million viewers, a 7.5% share, between 10pm and 11.05pm, rising to 1.6 million when Channel 4 +1 was taken into account. WE CAN'T REMEMBER Jamie's 30-Minute Meals – The show that spawned the fasting-selling non-fiction book of all time , although not everyone manages to finish the recipes in 30 minutes – returned for a second 20-part run with 1.380 million (7.9%) and another 228,000 on Channel 4 +1. It was no match for BBC2's Antiques Road Trip, which pulled in 2.207 million viewers, a 13.2% share, between 5.15pm and 6pm. This represented a 14.7% audience share, and was up on 3.591 million (13.6%) for last week's series two opener. But it still trailed far behind BBC1's crime drama Silent Witness, which drew 7.098 million viewers, a 27.3% share, between 9pm and 10pm. It was BBC1's second most popular show of the night, behind EastEnders, which picked up 9.901 million viewers, a 38.2% share, between 8pm and 8.30pm. WE'VE DECIDED TO CALL HER ... OVERNIGHTS One Born Every Minute, Channel 4, 9pm – The second series of the Channel 4 maternity show is proving another hit, with 2.293 million viewers, an 8.8% share, and another 444,000 on Channel 4 +1.
