Shadow cabinet: your pick
Today Labour MPs will be awaiting the results of the shadow cabinet elections, which are expected around 9pm. Nineteen MPs are to join Ed Miliband's new opposition team . After the 19 are elected, it is up to Miliband to decide who gets what job. Party rules mean at least six of the posts must go to women. The key position of shadow chancellor has attracted much speculation, with Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper both strong contenders. Lord Mandelson, David Miliband, Alistair Darling, Jack Straw and Bob Ainsworth have ruled themselves out, leaving space for new blood.
