Colin Jarvis's first consultancy client is Canadian producer Cineflix

Colin Jarvis, the former BBC executive responsible for selling the Weakest Link to America, has re-emerged as a consultant for the Canadian producer Cineflix. Jarvis, who set up BBC Worldwide's international programme sales arm, left the corporation in January after almost 40 years to set up his own media consultancy. His first client is Cineflix International, producer of shows such as Conviction Kitchen and Instant Cash, which is aiming to ramp up its international licensing and distribution business. Cineflix's chief executive, Glen Salzman, said: "Establishing a thriving format production and distribution division is a major step in Cineflix's overall growth strategy. With a fantastic track record driving the global production and sales of some of the world's biggest formats, Colin is perfectly placed to help us achieve this aim." Cineflix is based in Montreal, Canada, with offices in Toronto, London, Dublin and New York. • To contact the MediaGuardian news desk email [email protected] or phone 020 3353 3857.
