Sex, spellcheckers and video preaching

More serious stuff later today but I did notice a couple of pendants to the Times Unchanging Roman story . The mistake seems to have been sprinkled across quite a lot of encyclicals on the Vatican site. Further research led me to a piece of protestant prudery, which, with a spellchecker's help was responsible for the emergence of an athlete called Tyson Homosexual . The definitive guide to this phenomenon is at Language Log , which will also explain how Queen Elizabeth lays up to 2,000 eggs a day, news which our sycophantic royalist press has so far concealed from us. And then, back through Commonweal , comes a piece of up to the minute patronisation of women -- a conservative Catholic trying to explain the excommunication of Sister Margaret McBride . It's a video. Watch all the way through : it's only a minute and ten seconds long. You may never forget what you've seen. The first thing I thought when I saw it was "Why do right-wing crazies always have such huge whites to their eyes?" The second was simply ZOMFG.
