Lauren Luke's facial cleansers

Cowshed lavender gentle cleanser, £16. Lauren says: Loved this – it made my skin feel super-soft; lovely scent, too. ★★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Kiehl’s açaí texture-perfecting cleanser, £20. Lauren says: Whips up into a rich lather and smooths into the skin easily. My skin felt lovely the next day and looked much brighter. ★★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian REN anti-blemish clay cleanser, £18. Lauren says: This made my skin feel a little greasy when applying, but it did wash away easily. However, I didn’t notice any anti-blemish effects even after a full week’s use. ★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Sanctuary facial polishing hot cloth cleanser, £9.99. Lauren says: A facial polish that worked wonders for my skin and came with a cloth to open pores beforehand. With clear directions on the tube, you can’t fail to get a glowing complexion. Perfect. ★★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Shu Uemura high-performance cleansing oil, £27. Lauren says: Loved the feel of this. Purifies the skin and helps with dry spells. Use sparingly if you suffer greasy T zones, as I shone a bit too much the next day. ★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Simple refreshing facial wash gel, £2.99. Lauren says: Didn’t make me break out in blemishes, unlike some on the market. It doesn’t contain soap, so it won’t dry out your face. Fine for every day. ★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian
