Guardian news editor and Datablog editor Simon Rogers will be talking about power of data and the role journalists have in making it accessible and digestible for their audiences at the Leeds Community News Hub. The project is aimed at getting local community organisations more involved in the local news agenda and providing them with access to experts in the news media. More details are emerging about a public meeting to discuss a community bid for the sports facilities and playing pitches on the former Leeds Girls High School (LGHS) site in South Headingley/Hyde Park, which has recently been the subject of plans for a residential development.
