TV ratings: Miss Marple beats Jason Donovan
Julia McKenzie's latest outing as ITV1's Miss Marple was watched by nearly 5 million viewers, just winning its head-to-head contest with BBC1's Who Do You Think You Are? featuring Jason Donovan last night, Monday 30 August. Agatha Christie's Marple averaged 4.728 million, a 20.8% share, between 9pm and 10.30pm on ITV1 and ITV HD. Who Do You Think You Are? had 4.962 million viewers, a 19.7% share, between 9pm and 10pm, but Marple had the lead when the two were head to head, averaging 5.311m between 9pm and 10pm. Channel 4's fact-based drama I Am Slave averaged 1.205 million, 4.8% of the audience, between 8.30pm and 10pm, with another 197,000, a 0.9% share, on Channel 4 +1. BBC2's Dragons' Den had 2.730 million, a 10.9% share, between 9pm and 10pm, with another 81,000 on BBC HD. Another showing for the Tom Cruise film Jerry Maguire on Channel 5 had 618,000 viewers, a 3.1% share between 9pm and 11.45pm.
