Lauren Luke’s powder blushers

Chanel Joues Contraste in Rose Temptation, £29, 020-7493 3836. Lauren says: Nice soft brush and good-sized mirror. Gives a natural flush of soft colour with slight shimmer. However, for the price I’d expect more intense colour. ★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian ELF Studio Blush in Pink Passion, £3.50, eyeslipsface.co.uk . Lauren says: Great quality, especially for the price. Sturdy compact, handy mirror and the blush is easy to blend. Gorgeous colour and lovely effect that lasts for ages. ★★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Illamasqua in Tremble, £16, Selfridges , 0800 123 400. Lauren says: Lovely and creamy at first, but once on, it did fade quickly. Nice texture; matt formula that creates soft blush with no shimmer. A little pricey, though. ★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Laura Mercier Second Skin in City Pink, £18, Selfridges , 0800 123 400. Lauren says: This one really is barely pink – I had to apply quite a bit for a decent effect. Does give nice, natural-looking tint. ★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian RMK Ingenious Powder Cheeks in Rose, £19.50, Selfridges , 0800 123 400. Lauren says: Less keen on this. Lovely soft brush, but the powder wasn’t great quality and the colour was a bit of a let-down. Difficult to justify the price. ★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Rimmel 3 in 1 in Spring Flower, £4.99. Lauren says: Lovely strong colour, and also contains particles that brighten your skin. Stunning shade – can’t fault it. ★★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian
