Absolute Radio 90s to join Digital One
Absolute Radio is to put its newly launched digital station Absolute Radio 90s onto national digital radio platform, Digital One. The station will join the national digital audio broadcasting (DAB) multiplex for a five-week trial period until 30 September. Launched in June this year , Absolute Radio 90s is currently available on DAB in London and selected areas around the country, as well as Sky and online. It will become Absolute's fourth national digital service, along with Absolute Radio, sports spin-off Absolute Radio Extra and Absolute 80s. It also has user-controlled digital service, dabbl. The Absolute Radio chief executive, Donnach O'Driscoll, said: "We believe in a digital future for radio in the UK.
