TV ratings: Don't Stop Believing ends with under 1m
Channel 5's Glee-inspired talent show Don't Stop Believing finished with fewer than 1 million viewers, beaten by a James Bond repeat on ITV1 but ahead of Channel 4's V Festival coverage yesterday, Sunday 22 August. Don't Stop Believing, which began with 1.458 million viewers five weeks ago, ended its six-part run with an average of 844,000 viewers, a 5% share, between 5.30pm and 7pm. Channel 4's coverage of the V Festival had 410,000 viewers, a 2.6% share, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Another 93,000 (0.5%) watched an hour later on Channel 4 +1. ITV1/ITV1 HD's 1977 Roger Moore Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me, had 2.007 million viewers, 13.9% of the audience, between 4.15pm and 6.35pm. BBC1's Great British Railway Journeys repeat had 2.993 million viewers, an 18.2% share, between 6pm and 6.30pm, while BBC2's Home Movie Roadshow, first shown last Friday, had 727,000 viewers, a 4.2% share.
