The actor Rachel Weisz and director Darren Aronofsky have split up after eight years together, according to celebrity news website TMZ. They got together in 2002 and became engaged in 2005. They have a son, Henry, who is four years old. According to a representative for the pair, they separated "some months" ago. They are reportedly seeking joint custody of their son. They collaborated on the 2006 film, The Fountain, an experimental saga spanning 1,000 years that was thought by many to be a fatal misstep for the director. He went on to be lauded for The Wrestler two years later.
