What's the most durable appliance you've ever bought?

Derek Wills bought his television in 1968 – and never had to replace or fix it . The Mitsubishi set is one of the oldest colour televisions still working, and Wills says it has "a beautiful picture". It seems a far cry from our current smart phones and flat screens, which are generally expected to be replaced every few years. Back then, equipment was made to last. Do you have an appliance that still works, decades after you purchased it?
