Fancy becoming a theatre critic?

I am pleased to recommend an article by one of my former City University students, Saadeya Shamsuddin , Should theatre critics be more diverse? She has been enjoying a year of theatre after joining the Royal Shakespeare Company's arts journalist bursary scheme, which mentors young writers from diverse backgrounds to cover RSC productions. She once thought "theatre was for posh white people", but writes that "the whole experience has changed my understanding of theatre in small ways as well as large, and opened my mind to how engaging and enlightening the medium can be."
