Astillero is one of Buenos Aires' hottest new tango bands. They're back in London for one night only at the Barbican, following sold-out performances at the London Jazz Festival. This all-acoustic group add a daring youthful edginess to the traditional music of Argentina, to create their own version of tango. Their sounds are the sounds of Buenos Aires today. The group's fresh lyrics add to the rawness of their sound and they're developed further by video images, both poetic and political, projected live to complement the deluge of sound.
