Eurasian says sudden jump in shares has 'nothing to do' with the company

Kazakh mining company Eurasian Natural Resources said the sudden jump in the price of its shares this morning "had nothing to do" with the firm. The stock exchange cancelled a single trade, made at 8:05am, where ENRC shares were exchanged at £10.99, way above Friday's closing price of 841p. The mining company dismissed any speculation about a takeover or the discovery of a new mine. Falling along with the rest of the resources sector, ENRC shares closed down 23.5p at 818p.
