The non-non-wit of Robert Thomson

A couple of weeks ago I reported that Sarah Ellison's book War at the Wall Street Journal had received much praise. There appears to be less enthusiasm within Rupert Murdoch's camp however. When the Journal's managing editor Robert Thomson was asked for his view last night, he replied: "I've read bits and pieces... It's just not accurate... It's non-non-fiction." Non-non-fiction? Perhaps that's what Ellison meant when she thanked the former Times editor for "his wit" in her acknowledgements. Source: New York Observer
