Carla Bevan quits Marie Claire for AOL

Marie Claire's online editor, Carla Bevan, is to join AOL as editor-in-chief of its UK content sites. Bevan will run AOL's family of lifestyle sites such as Eleven, ParentDish, StyleList, Asylum, Spinner and Travel. She will report to AOL's director of media, Julian Downing, who recently joined from Hearst Digital. Bevan joins from IPC Media's Marie Claire, where she has been editor of the brand's online site for three years.
