Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos attracts Wolfsburg's interest

Philippe Senderos has emerged as a target for the German champions, Wolfsburg. The Arsenal centre-half, who has also interested Everton and Celtic, has fallen further down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium since the return of Sol Campbell and he needs first-team football to try to secure a place in Switerland's World Cup squad. Arsène Wenger, the Arsenal manager, is interested in Wolfsburg's striker Edin Dzeko but it looks unlikely that the Bosnia international will move anywhere this month. Dzeko, who has a £35m buy-out clause in his contract, would be entitled to a 10% cut of that fee were he to move in the summer.
