James Hook to follow Gavin Henson out of the Ospreys' door

James Hook today became the second Wales international back in the last week to announce he was leaving Ospreys. Gavin Henson departed for Saracens last week and Hook, who will play for Wales against Australia on Saturday, probably at full-back, will not be renewing his contract with the Magners League champions. Ospreys set the 25-year old a deadline of today to say whether he would be staying after months of negotiations. "I told them this morning I would not be signing a new contract," said Hook, who has played for the region since 2004. "It gives them time to find a replacement. They have been vital to my development as a professional player and my decision to leave is no reflection on them." Hook said he would make a decision on where he would be playing next season in February. Perpignan, who have promised to play him in his preferred position of outside-half, are the favourites to secure his signature and Toulouse and Toulon are also believed to be interested.
