TV ratings: Celebrity MasterChef final gobbled up by almost 6m

The 2010 Celebrity MasterChef final attracted almost 6 million viewers on BBC1 on Friday, 20 August. Friday's final, won by Lisa Faulkner, was watched by 5.789 million viewers and attracted a 25.1% audience share from 9pm. Celebrity MasterChef comfortably won its slot and significantly boosted its ratings compared to last year's final, won by Jayne Middlemiss, which attracted 4.4 million and 21% in mid July last year . Friday's 9pm competition on the other main channels consisted of BBC2's Home Movie Roadshow (1.442 million/6.3%), a Doc Martin repeat on ITV1/ITV1 HD (3.371 million/14.6%), Channel 4's Big Brother (2.954 million/12.8%, C4+1 183,000/1%), and Channel 5's The Mentalist repeat (1.216 million/5.3%).
