Cabinet Office signs MoU with IBM
The firm's announcement of its agreement with the Cabinet Office follows similar deals involving other ICT vendors that met with minister Francis Maude over the summer. IBM said that as part of the agreement it has provided a number of ideas and commitments to reduce costs, which are in line with the government's plans to "generate in-year savings". It added that the MoU identifies several areas in which it could "help improve efficiency and effectiveness in the longer term and support the desired reform of public services".
